No, it's a 'HD tuner -> capture' card. The card doesn't have HD video inputs on it. So, it would be almost useless in this geographical area.
Ok. I hadn't noticed any problem with current selections. I guess you have be an aficionado to appreciate. Kind of like high end stereo systems capable of blowing the windows out of one's house.
If you can't see the resolution difference between 340i (old) and 1080i (new), you probably need to get your eyes upgraded. :)
Computer monitors /can/ display the resolution components of an HD signal but they're ill suited for it since the refresh timings and all that jazz are not aligned like a TV is.
