I'm going to try installing the hacked firmware on my G1 Android (Linux, Google) cell phone tonight.
The install went really well. It took me longer to backup my configs, logs, and applications than I thought, but it all went pretty smoothly. I followed this method, and used the latest JF 1.5 image.
