umm, man inittab?
I tend to put start-up things in inittab rather than in /etc/rc.d/ start-up scripts, but that's just me.
I have Fedora Core 3 and would like to have VNCserver autoload on startup and give me a login screen when I attach remotely via SSH tunnel.
Is this possible? Can someone point me to a howto or other similar documentation?

I have a bike shed. I got it from Home Depot in a flat and
heavy box, it took several weekends to put together, and
now it has so much junk in it that there is no room for my
bike. It was painted at the factory. I could paint it again if
I felt like it but I doubt I will.
