Also, I believe that the FCC has mandated that all through-the-air broadcasts will be HD by 2007, if you take much stock in that.
Actually I think the rule is all TV stations have to continue to broadcast the old NTSC format through 2007. In other words they can't obsolete everyone's old TV's until then.
