I certainly wouldn't call us that. Nonetheless, we do exist. We're not selling anything, we're there as an attraction for the crowd. We shouldn't be paying. I suppose we could look for sponsors, but if they insist on charging, I would just say no and let it be their loss.

Should say we _aren't_ a true organization.
Do they get completely new people every year to run this event, who don't remember the previous years at all? That would seem to be the only explanation for them not remembering how popular our booth always is.

Ouch, I hope they do something closer to "free" for us this year. I was getting ready to stick Beryl on a 1.1Ghz machine to show off at ITEC.

They may see our booth as unnecessary duplication of one of their conference speakers, and that in turn reduces their potential profits. They are probably thinking "why would an attendee pay more for a conference speaker pass when they can get the same information from KCLUG for free?"
