I don't know who from kclug is attending ITEC, I'm not. But whoever is may wish to bring a box, and some kclug info. Kim is speaking after the keynote. I don't think KCLUG is doing anything other than manning a booth. A mention after the keynote might draw some traffic, or let people know KC has a LUG if they don't know already.

I'm presenting the session on Open Source/Free Software on Wednesday morning after the Keynote. I'm also conducting an Open Source Camp on Thursday. If you can get a box there running Ubuntu or something we can have some fun with a demo.
If you can make some KC LUG info available during my presentation I will make sure people get it.
Thanks,

As a side note, they spelled 'Linux' as 'Linuc' on the registration form
I lose hope when I hear things like this.

The sign at our booth said "Central Indiana Linus Users Group" even after an ITEC guy called me to check the spelling. _______________________________________________ Kclug mailing list [email protected] http://kclug.org/mailman/listinfo/kclug
For Linux, or humanity?

Personally, I say humanity. People try to convince my wife that her name isn't spelled how she tells them, too.
Jon.

Well, neither is yours, John <g>
(I get "Monte", "Montey", or "Montie", in descending order of frequency.)

You don't know how many people over the years have "corrected" my name to "Justin" on forms and documents. Humanity it is.
The last time I heard anything, the "Strategic Partners" Exhibitors committee at ITEC had been contacted to arrange a free KC ITEC booth for KCLUG. I do not know if one has been approved yet. I have arranged for time off on both days to man the booth, and I have a demonstration system to demonstrate at ITEC. The demonstration system has functional USB so the bootable keycard suggestion could be used at ITEC.
I can print more of the non-confrontational, "Linux can stand on its own without M$ bashing" brochures to hand out again this year. If we definitely have LiveCDs to hand out, let me know what types and I can reprint the "We Have Linux LiveCDs" sign from last year. If I don't hear from anyone I'll reprint it without any specific LiveCD distro information on it.
