The hplip page on the HP website says it supports the Deskjet 3930, but when you try to use it the only supported printers are the 3920 and the 3940, neither of which seem to work as "similar" drivers.
Any other ideas to get this (admittedly cheap) printer to work in Linux?

Okaaay. Well, the wife wants her own printer, and she refuses to leave Windows XP Home as Linux Wine/Cedega still won't run "The Sims" adequately, so I guess the HP DeskJet 3930 goes on her machine. I'll just have to print off the list of supported printers and go hunting through the MicroCenter sales ads.

According to the first link, the gimp-print driver in pcl-900 mode may work.
