Anyone got Sunbird working connecting to remote ics calendars through and http proxy? There doesn't seem to have a proxy setup in the options.

Do you mean Thunderbird or FireFox?

Ah ha! Jason pointed me to: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/sunbird.html
The Sunbird Project is a redesign of the Mozilla Calendar component. Our goal is to produce a cross platform standalone calendar application based on Mozilla's XUL user interface language. At the moment the "Sunbird" name is a project name. It is not official and may change in the future.

I do, but I've got transparent proxying set up...firewall redirects all outgoing http traffic to squid. It might use the same settings as firefox though?

It used to work like a champ for me with transparent proxies too.
before ====== inet <-> firewall + squid transparent <-> internal
now ===== inet <-> firewall <-> squid <-> privocity <-> internal
Just haven't figured out how to make the "now" all transparent yet
suggestions?

I'm not sure if this has any bearing on your immediate problem, but a potential issue with Sunbird and proxies has to do with WebDAV. WebDAV (and DeltaV) add several HTTP methods (such as PROPFIND) that many proxies may not handle. We ran into this when we switched from CVS to Subversion recently. The Subersion FAQ has more information:
