Who do they expect will buy these drives, and how long before they're hacked anyways? Damn Hollywood! Western Digital doesn't tell the MPAA how to make movies, you'd think the MPAA would show the same respect.

The story seems to leave out a bit of relevant info: this doesn't apply to normal file access, only a special feature they have for internet-wide file sharing. So basically they are shipping these with a p2p-style server installed, which is RIAA/MPAA's favourite software target.

I haven't looked close enough to find the asterisk that removes the false advertising liability...
