Embrace the Penguin

I have come up with the chorus to a song that I think you will all love. It's called "Embrace the Penguin", which will essentially be encouragement for people move over to the world of open source freedom. What I would like to do with the verses, if you like the idea, is turn them into sort of open source verses, and come up with them collaboratively. It's difficult to create art in a multi-opinion collaborative process, but I think it can be done. I will retain the "project lead" position for myself, so the final "commits", if you will, would be my responsibility, but I would like any and all input. I think we would just have to work together on the poetry, and I'll work out the music. Anyway, here's the chorus: Embrace the Penguin Walk away from Redmond Embrace the Penguin Step into freedom If you believe in living free of corporate monopolies then won't you please join with me and Embrace the Penguin So what should be in the verses? Duel Heads issue resolved

Reload Fedora 6 to recover from the learning curve here at Hard knocks University, I guess I passed the finals, I got my system back up. I learned that my board has radeon device, and I have a plug in All-in-wonder from ATI. There is a mismatch in drivers, when I figured that the two had some sort of conflict I was able to commit out the radeon driver, The fuzzy mouse problem I figured out was cause by the westinghouse LCD moniter. The westinghouse monitor dose not have drivers and the customer support is worth squat. I reconfigured my CRT to be primary, and the LCD to be secondary. I pluged in some generic modes of theLCD and forced it align itself with the CRT. Exchange Server comes with a client license for up to 5 clients only. This means that only 5 connections are available, any more would be refused. The company (or owner) may choose to purchase more client licenses in 5 - 10 - 25 license packs from MS for more connections. It's the same way with their Terminal Services as well. Think of Terminal Services in the same way as we use SSH for system administration. We establish a secure shell in Linux to administer the system or run programs on the server, MS uses Terminal Services or "Remote Desktop Connection" to do the same on an MS server. One must purchase the right amount of licenses to allow enough connections. For a long time, I've been under the impression, largely from friends who have been running Macintoshes for ages, that OS-X was based on one of the three BSD forks - that essentially it was a *BSD with an Apple window manager/desktop environment, and with the kernel (and other programs) locked to the Trusted Program Module (TPM). Comments from some of you lately led me to do some research. It appears that, at least on the internet, current documentation agrees that OS-X is based on Openstep, which evolved from NeXTSTEP, which was derived from 4.4 BSD (pre-fork?) and the Mach OS. It's funny how knowledge like this can evolve on the web. What gets collated, analyzed, and archived becomes the truth. What was known to be true at the time gets forgotten. Mode Emulators become Modulator/Demodulators. Other acronyms drift.
