Looked at the possible solutions, I have hound the same, I looking for something that can upload/download via rs232 and rs449, This a Event-Data Recorder EDR that stores it memory on a flashchip. I connect through the com ports to my DER throuh what ever translator circuit required. I can use Procom to see it scroll, Poby Prog to program the chip, I have a assoarted collection of bootloaders, but everything is microsoft. I want to be able to get away from it all, but the google warrior in me is unable to find anything.

Wine is Windows Emulation. It lets you run most windows programs in Linux. The important thing to remember is that there are better programs in Linux than in windows. But if you have to keep a windows program after you install Linux, Wine can let you keep running some of your old windows programs.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Adhere to internal processes related to change management, internal audit, human resources and disaster recovery policies/procedures. Sufficient communications skills (written/verbal) to develop appropriate technology solutions to business needs. Maintain a high availability, security focused enterprise network environment. Develop detailed technical designs and implementation strategies for key technology areas. Develop and maintain network documentation/diagrams. Strong demonstrated ability to support, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise network sites(i.e. DS1, DS3,OC3), in addition to remote network sites (VPN, cable modem, DSL). Ability to support legacy and integrated Cisco network equipment (i.e. routers, switches, firewalls). Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification strongly desired. Minimum of 3 years experience in network engineering and operations. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and support Cisco routers, Catalyst switches, and PIX firewalls. System administration and support experience with Cisco IP Telephony systems. Demonstrated knowledge of Cisco network designs and protocols. Ability to design, test, implement and support high level network designs. Thorough understanding of all common IP protocols. Experienced using network diagnostic software and equipment. General Apology,

I didn't realize how much of an impact that last message would have, I will take responsibility and admit there was a definite misunderstanding within the communication. I will acknowledge that until yesterday, I had been ghosting, and trying to pick up tips on the stuff I didn't know, I didn't know. With the comments sent out yesterday, I felt the attitude should have been addressed. My first encounter with Linux was in 1997, I think it was slackware. I was on a deployment on the USS Leyte Gulf. I was toying around with a cast off laptop. My only connection with any information was this jerk that had the attitude "I better then you because I know." His attitude turned me away from Linux, and Linux Users. About six months ago a security guard I worked with told me about Linux. He allowed me to put a portion of my server/processing stuff and his Laptop for a week. P3, 800 MHz, it out performed my P4 3 GHz. I bought his desktop that had fedora 5 loaded on it and nearly killed myself out of the frustration in the first two months. When I loaded ZOG and got my web space backup, I was defiantly pleased with the results. Since then I have met scores of Linux users who has this attitude the Linux is an elite club and membership is limited to fat greasy slobs living in the mothers basement. Ok well may that a bit of an exaggeration, but it serves the point. Until recently stumbling across the Craig’s list “Linux forum,” all my Linux contacts had been “in person” I personally feel that Linux should be given to anybody who asks, and a definite pedagogical relationship should be started with every individual who wants to know how to use Linux. It kind of like the old proverb, “In order to think, you must realize you’re capable of doing so” I think what you meant to say is that the TROLLS, are unworthy of attention. Be at peace Earle
